The Department of English Education visited Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Univesiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. This visit was led by Dr (cand.) M. Faruq Ubaidillah, Dr. Kurniasih, Dr. Atik Umamah, Dr (cand.) Ika Hidayanti, and Dr (cand.) Diah Retno Widowati. As the representatives of ELE, they discussed possible international collaboration with UTM like student exchange program, summer school, and joint research.
The initiative was appreciated by the Director of FSSH UTM, Dr. Zuhana and colleagues. They explained that international collaboration is inseparable if an institution aims to grow professionally.
Aside from the academic meeting, the delegates also discussed international postgraduate scholarships for ELE’s students at FSSH UTM.
During the visit, ELE’s students were actively engaged with the discussion to pursue their dreams of studying MA TESL at FSSH UTM next year.
